House specials land as a platter you build yourself at the table. Soften a sheet of rice paper, add vermicelli, lettuce and a handful of herbs, roll it around the grilled skewers or sausage, then dip it in fish sauce. It is a slower, hands-on way to eat and it works best when the table shares.
Taking it home? Call the location closest to you and we will have the order boxed, with broth and noodles packed separately so the bowl still tastes right when you sit down.
Order PickupAbout Our Kitchen
Pho Phi Nhung cooks Vietnamese food the long way. The stockpot goes on before the doors open, the herbs are washed and picked by hand each morning, and the grill runs through service so pork chop, minced beef and satay skewers reach the table with the edges still crackling. Nothing sits waiting.
You will find us in two Calgary neighbourhoods. The Brentwood dining room on Brentwood Road NW is the busier of the two at lunch, when the weekday special brings in the office and campus crowd. Our second kitchen, Pho Phuong, sits on Elbow Drive SW and keeps the same recipes, the same broth and the same hours. Both rooms open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 9pm and close on Tuesday.
Come in with a group and order across the menu, or keep it to a single bowl on a cold afternoon. If you are eating in a hurry, phone the order through and pick it up at the counter. Either way, the herbs, lime and chilli arrive on the side, because the last few decisions about a bowl of pho belong to whoever is eating it.
